O.J. Simpson – Ford Motors To Release New Bronco On Ex NFL Star’s Birthday
Ford Motors has announced the return of its Bronco, 24 years after it was removed from the company’s lineup. The most coincidental part about the return of the Bronco is that it will debut on July 9, which happens to be O.J Simpson’s 73rd birthday.
The 2021 Bronco was supposed to be released in the spring, but the COVID-19 pandemic delayed manufacturing. In a recent tweet, Ford Motor Company announced the new release date of the Bronco.
“07/09/20. The Wild Returns. #FordBronco #BuiltWild”

O.J Simpson’s connection to the white Bronco dates back to 1994 when he was involved in a two-hour police chase over the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown. While he was later infamously acquitted, his car chase with police ultimately became one of the most-watched events in television history.
Mike Levine, a spokesperson from the car company said the new release date was “purely coincidental.”
“[It] was supposed to take place in April, but due to COVID-19, we had to shut down all our factories. The rescheduled date was following the July 4 holiday. It’s purely coincidental. Not intentional.”
Mike Levine also added that the company found out that the release was on O.J Simpson’s birthday after they announced the new Bronco.
O.J was a passenger in his 1993 Ford Bronco while his former teammate Al Cowlings drove the car as the two led the LAPD on a chase through Southern California on June 17, 1994. O.J went on the slow speed chase after he was charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman. Wednesday (June 17th) will be the 26th anniversary of the infamous chase, which captured the attention of 95 million people across the country watching the situation go down live.
