Jharrel Jerome is best known for his compelling breakout role as Korey Wise in Ava Duvernay’s four-part Netflix series When They See Us. The project tells the story of five boys, now men, Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, and Korey Wise, who were falsely imprisoned for the rape of a white woman in Central Park. They were later exonerated after Matias Reyes, a serial rapist, confessed to the crime years later.
