Kanye West Says He’s Running For President, Kim Kardashian Supports Him
Will we be calling Kanye West Mr. President?
Rapper Kanye West, 43, announced his presidential run via Twitter on July 4th. He wrote,
We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States ! #2020VISION

Tesla CEO Elon Musk was one of the first to respond and back him.

Interestingly enough, the two were hanging out at Elon Musk’s house just days before Kanye West’s announcement.

Kim Kardashian West also supported his announcement with an American flag.

This isn’t the first time Kanye West has thrown his hat into the presidential ring. In 2015, during his performance at the VMAs, Kanye West delivered a speech, declaring he’d be running in the race for 2020. However, he pushed it back to 2024 last November.
Although Kanye is garnering support from friends, family, and fans, it’s reportedly too late for him to be added to the ballot in six states. With the election four months away, Kanye West can still become an independent candidate if he gathers a certain amount of signatures and if he registers in states by a deadline, which has already passed in some of the major states.
