Doja Cat Blasts Critics Of Her Racial Identity: People Said I Was Black When I Had A #1 Alongside 3 Other Black Women
Biracial rapper Doja Cat is addressing criticism surrounding her racial identity. This past May, footage leaked of Doja Cat participating in an chatroom allegedly notorious for entertaining racists and White supremacists. She apologized to fans in a lengthy Instagram post.

However, chatter about the incident lingers on social media, and it looks like the rapper has had enough. She blasted critics, noting that she was considered a Black woman when her “Say So (Remix)” with Nicki Minaj hit the top of the Billboard charts. Doja Cat tweeted:
“Remember when people said I was black when I had a #1 along side 3 other black women but now the same people wanna say I’m white? Maybe I’m not the one here with “identity issues”. :)”

A Twitter user called out the Cali native for what he said what was an attempt at distracting the public from her chatroom usage.

Doja immediately bit back with this response:
“I’m just trying to make sure you remember who the f*ck you’re talking to, coward.”
