EXCLUSIVE: Love & Hip Hop & Black Ink Crew Franchises Get “Pandemic” Check
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, some of the VH1 non-scripted shows are still being compensated, despite filming being on hold due to the CoronaVirus pandemic. We’re told that the cast of the Love & Hip Hop, along with Black Ink Crew franchises are two of the series that are receiving payments.
A source tells us that all returning cast members from those particular shows will receive a “pandemic check” to help provide financial assistance while being unable to work due to COVID-19. We’re told:
“The Love & Hip Hop and Black Ink Crew franchises were completely shut down at one point, like a lot of other productions – it’s a big hit for some of the cast because this was so unexpected.”
A source says that not all VH1 non-scripted shows have received a pandemic check.
There’s no word on when and how filming for any of the shows will resume.
Love & Hip Hop documents the personal and professional lives of several hip hop and R&B musicians, performers, managers, and record producers residing in various metropolitan areas of the United States.
