Gucci Mane Named In Wrongful Death Lawsuit Over South Carolina Club Shooting
Rapper Gucci Mane is among the list of defendants that have been named in a wrongful death lawsuit filed on behalf of a woman who was fatally shot during a concert that took place earlier this summer. The unfortunate incident occurred in South Carolina at Lavish Lounge during a concert that Gucci Mane reportedly had a hand in promoting for a rapper named Foogiano. The victim, 23-year-old Mykala Bell, and one other person were both shot and killed during Foogiano’s performance. Eight other people were also shot but survived their injuries. According to the local Sheriff, the shooting was likely gang-related.
In addition to Gucci Mane, born Radric Delantic Davis, the lawsuit also names Foogiano (born Kwame Brown), the ownership company for Lavish Lounge, the club owner, and an alleged associate of Foogiano, Jarquez Kezavion Cooper.
Jarquez Kezavion Cooper was arrested in connection with the shooting and has yet to be released.
According to the lawsuit, Foogiano and his team were not searched for weapons prior to them entering the venue and
“As a result, dangerous persons were permitted inside the club with deadly weapons.”

The lawsuit seeks general, special, compensatory, consequential, economic, and punitive damages. Also, the suit is requesting a jury trial.
