Zendaya Fans Defend Her Emmy Win After It’s Referred To As An ‘Upset’ Over Jennifer Aniston
Actress Zendaya is celebrating a historic win in her career as the youngest recipient of Lead Actress in a Drama Series award at this year’s Emmys for her role in HBO’s Euphoria. But her name coupled with her Emmy win is now trending on Twitter after being referred to as an “upset” over Jennifer Aniston (“The Morning Show“) and Laura Linney (“Ozark“).
In a video streamed live during the 72nd Emmy Awards, Zendaya is seen celebrating with smiles, laughter, and with tears as Jimmy Kimmel announces the 24-year-old winner.
But when her win was described as an “upset” to some, many of Zendaya’s fans were not happy about the verbiage.

Jennifer Anniston, well-known for her role as Rachel Green on the top-rated 90’s-2000’s TV series “Friends,” is one of Hollywood’s leading ladies while Zendaya’s progressive fame began after she concreted herself on shows such as Disney Channel’s “Shake It Up“.
Congratulations to Zendaya on such a monumental win in her career!
