Phylicia Rashad Doesn’t Know Why People Wouldn’t Watch ‘The Cosby Show’ After Bill Cosby’s Conviction
Phylicia Rashad, best known for her role as Clair Huxtable on the 8 year series The Cosby Show, doesn’t quite understand why people would not watch her longstanding show after the conviction of it’s star, Comedian and actor Bill Cosby.

During an interview, after being asked what she would tell people who can no longer watch the popular show, Rashad states,
“I don’t know why anybody would feel that way. I just don’t accept what somebody says because they say it, and they say it in a loud voice. The internet has given a lot of anonymous people a very loud voice. And this, too, has happened before.”
In 2015, Phylicia Rashad fervently backed Bill Cosby, calling him
“a genius. He’s is generous. He’s kind. He’s inclusive.”
Rashad, who’s been a support to her television husband since publicly speaking on him in 2015, believes that
“And it will happen in time, that this will come around another way, as it often does. And then people say, ‘Oh.’”
Bill Cosby is expected to serve his full 10-year sentence after being found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault.
Cosby was found guilty on April 26, 2018 and on September 25, 2018, he was sentenced to three to ten years in state prison and a $25,000 fine plus court costs of both trials.
