The Source Awards Will Return In 2022 After A 17-Year Hiatus
The Source Awards is coming back! According to reports, The Source Awards will be making its return in 2022, after it ended in 2004. The Source Awards was an annual award show for The Source Magazine/website that was geared towards both Hip-Hop and R&B musical genres.
American entertainment attorney L. Londell McMillan will be spearheading the return of the award show. He is the Chairman of The NorthStar Group which owns and operates The Source Magazine/website. In addition to his Chairman duties, L. Londell McMillan has worked with many famous entertainers including Lil’ Kim, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Kanye West, and the late Prince.

L. Londell McMillan spoke with Page Six about the return of The Source Awards and said,
“Hip-hop needs its premiere awards show back. After every awards show, our social media at The Source explodes … so back by popular demand.”
