Naya Rivera’s Father Slams ‘Glee’ Creator Ryan Murphy For Not Making Good On Promise To Start A College Fund For Her Son

Naya Rivera’s Father Slams ‘Glee’ Creator Ryan Murphy For Not Making Good On Promise To Start A College Fund For Her Son
Naya Rivera’s father isn’t happy with Glee creator Ryan Murphy, and he didn’t mind taking to social media to let the world know.
Naya Rivera sadly drowned while on a boating trip with her son, Josey Dorsey, 5, last summer. Boaters discovered Josey Dorsey on the boat, leading to an extensive search for Naya Rivera, whose body was found five days later.
Since then, Ryan Murphy promised to start a college fund for Josey Dorsey.
But based on George Rivera’s tweets, Ryan Murphy allegedly hasn’t made good on the vow.
On Tuesday, March 9th, he replied to a fan who saluted Murphy’s promise back in July 2020. She wrote that Murphy, along with Glee co-creators and executive producers Ian Brennan and Brad Falchuk were
“setting up a college fund for josey and i know most of us disliked them most of the time for their writing choices or anything else related to the show, but i have so much respect for them”
George Rivera replied eight months later,
“Everyone needs to know what Ryan Murphy really did … or didn’t do !!! I’m about to blow up this story …. and make sure he’s knows that I know ….”

He added,
“Get the glee tweeters on this !!!!”

He replied to a fan who said he should “drag” Murphy and wrote,
“When you are part of the Hollywood elite, some people treat others as they are “less than” …. vocalize a good game , but it’s as shallow as the sets on stage , that they create. Promises made in public, only to fade with time and excuses …. even in a unexplainable tragedy ..”
He also laughed when a fan asked if the college fund was actually started.

He continued,
“Broken Promises…. fake outrage… hollow gestures… no phone call”

Murphy broke his silence and said they were already working on the fund.
“Myself, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan have committed to create a college fund for Naya Rivera’s child Josey through the Naya Rivera Estate Trust. We have been in repeated conversations with the appropriate executors of her estate.”
