Meek Mill Allegedly Denied Rick Ross Entry Into His Birthday Celebration, Wants To Leave Maybach Music Group
Is trouble brewing behind closed doors at Maybach Music Group (MMG)?
Meek Mill reportedly denied Rick Ross entry into his section at Miami’s LIV nightclub last week, where the former was celebrating his 34th birthday. Now, this isn’t just your standard case of rap beef. Rick Ross is the founder of the MMG record label, thus making him Meek Mill‘s label boss. Meek Mill has been associated with MMG since the release of his 2012 album, Dreams and Nightmares.
Allegedly, there’s tension between the pair as a result of Meek Mill wanting out of his contract. Despite this, Rick Ross reportedly wants the rapper to finish his contractual obligations and terms before parting ways with the label. So, if the allegations are true, fans can assume that these conflicting interests fueled the incident.
The rumors were forwarded by DJ Akademiks, who spoke on the alleged situation on Twitch. While DJ Akademiks did not name the individuals involved, fans put two and two together and concluded that he must have been referring to Meek Mill and Rick Ross.
It is unclear whether there’s any basis to these allegations, and neither Meek Mill nor Rick Ross has publicly commented on the matter.
