Jordyn Woods Reveals She Received A Birkin For Starring In Gunna’s Music Video For ‘Baby Birkin’: It’s An Investment Piece, & I Don’t Do Anything For Free
Jordyn Woods is sharing how she got one of her first Birkin bags–and how Gunna helped her get it!
While sitting for an interview with Complex News, Jordyn Woods first reflected on her experiences as a video star in general, claiming:
“For me, [as] somebody who loves music and loves to be tapped in to the culture and everything, it’s a good moment. It’s a timestamp–it’s something I can look back and reflect on.”
She then segued to mention how she met Rick Ross and starred in the music video for “Big Tyme,” recounting the experience as being largely positive.
Immediately thereafter, Jordyn Woods discussed her experience starring a Gunna music video–“Baby Birkin.” In line with the song title, she also revealed that her compensation for her video appearance was a Birkin! She stated:
“I love Gunna’s music. And we’ve known each other for a while, so [when he] was like ‘come be in the video, you get a Birkin,’ I’m like ‘say less.'”
The interviewer then inquired if she was serious, asking if it was a “real trade.” To this, Jordyn Woods replied:
“Well, yeah. I don’t do anything for free, you know?”
She continued:
“The way I view Birkins [is] like ‘This is an investment piece. The value goes up.’ So people are like ‘Oh that’s stupid–spending that money on a bag,’ but really it’s like an investment. The value is not going down. So, in a sense, I got a little stock!'”
Despite receiving a Birkin as payment, Jordyn Woods revealed that the bag was acquired as a result of a little negotiating–but not by her! She stated:
“It wasn’t like ‘Hey, be in the video, you get a Birkin,’ but it [was] like ‘Hey, I want you to be in the video.’ I don’t do the negotiating–I’m just the face… I don’t really remember how that went, but that was how I got one of my first Birkins.'”
However, despite claiming she “doesn’t do anything for free,” she revealed that she was open to appearing in the video for Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Body” without compensation. Jordyn Woods claimed:
“Well, we’re friends… I mean, I’ll do some stuff for free.”
