‘Lovecraft Country’ Canceled, Not Returning For Season 2
Sad news for “Lovecraft Country” fans. The hit series by Misha Green has not been renewed for a second season.
“We will not be moving forward with a second season of Lovecraft Country,” HBO tells Deadline. “We are grateful for the dedication and artistry of the gifted cast and crew, and to Misha Green, who crafted this groundbreaking series. And to the fans, thank you for joining us on this journey.”
The fantasy and sci-fi series was about a young black man who travels across the segregated 1950s United States in search of his missing father, learning of dark secrets plaguing a town on which famous horror writer H. P. Lovecraft supposedly based the location of many of his fictional tales. It starred Jurnee Smollett, Jonathan Majors and Michael Kenneth Williams.
Green reacted to the news on Twitter.
What are your thoughts about this cancellation?
