LeBron James Reportedly On Track To Be A Billionaire This Year
Could LeBron James be the next celebrity to reach billionaire status?
The Los Angeles Lakers star is said to be on track to become a billionaire before the end of the year.
According to Fansided, his NBA career is only a small reason why.
His ownership in companies like Fenway Sports Group, SpringHill Entertainment, and the Blaze Pizza franchise also brings LeBron James money off the court. The Space Jam: A New Legacy film that is slated for release July 16th will reportedly put him over the billionaire edge.
This has already been a big year for LeBron James, outside of the NBA, as he became part-owner of the Boston Red Sox earlier this year, and joined Fenway Sports Group as a partner.
LeBron James and Maverick Carter — his longtime friend and business partner — own an undisclosed amount of ownership shares of FSG as of this past March.
He is also a partial owner of other FSG subsidiaries, including NASCAR team Roush Fenway Racing, sports cable network NESN, and Fenway Sports Management.
