Normani Invested Her Own Money To Create ‘Wild Side’ Music Video: I Definitely Know That It Was Worth It Tre
When Normani has a creative vision, she’s serious about seeing it through!
Yesterday (Wednesday, July 21st), Normani appeared on L.A.’s Real 92.3 and spoke on her recent hit song with Cardi B, “Wild Side.” During the interview, Normani was asked about the budget for her video, to which she stated:
“I’m not gonna lie, there’s a lot that I had to [put up myself]. I had to invest my own [money].”
She continued:
“The number that I put in would probably sound foolish to a lot of people, but I definitely know that it was well worth it. And when I have a vision–when God places a vision, like, on my heart–I’m like ‘This is the assignment. This is the assignment–it’s gonna come back ten-fold.'”
While Normani did not reveal the exact amount she invested, she confirmed the music video alone required over $1 million to create.
It seems like Normani had a specific vision for how she wanted the video to turn out, and she was going to ensure that it came to life! Additionally, considering the music video has been widely well-received, she may have been right about her investment being “well worth it.”
