Whitney Houston Estate Announces Hologram Residency In Las Vegas, Scheduled To Start In October
Whitney Houston fans will get the chance to see her hologram in concert this October!
Recently, Whitney Houston‘s estate announced an upcoming Las Vegas Residency–An Evening With Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Concert. The residency will begin on October 26th, and it’ll take place at Harrah’s Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
The concert is described as follows on the event’s official website:
“The boundary-breaking hologram concert spectacle, An Evening with Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Concert, features the voice of one of the world’s greatest entertainers virtually performing among a live band, backup singers and dancers while being surrounded by cinematic special effects. The awe-inspiring live theatrical concert celebrates the incredible music and everlasting legacy of Whitney Houston. An Evening with Whitney is THE ONLY Whitney Houston experience in partnership with the Whitney Houston Estate.”
Similarly, Pat Houston–who’s Whitney Houston‘s sister-in-law and the executor of her estate–stated:
“In 2011, Whitney and I discussed her idea of an intimate, unplugged concert tour. It was a project we called ‘Whitney Unplugged’ or ‘An Evening with Whitney.’ While Whitney’s no longer with us, her voice and legacy will live on with us forever. ‘An Evening with Whitney’ is another chance for us to relive and celebrate the talent that we were so lucky to receive for more than three decades.”
As you may recall, Whitney Houston died in the Beverly Hilton Hotel on February 11th, 2012. Her manner of death was listed as an accident, and she was found in a bathtub with various drugs in her system.
Despite dying almost a decade ago, Whitney Houston‘s legacy continues–and fans will now be able to see her hologram perform in concert.
Tickets for An Evening with Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Concert go on sale today (July 23).
