Nicole Ari Parker Set To Replace Kim Cattrall In ‘Sex And The City’ Reboot
More details of Nicole Ari Parker‘s role in the Sex and the City reboot have been revealed!
As previously reported, Nicole Ari Parker is starring in the upcoming Sex and the City reboot, titled And Just Like That… News of Nicole Ari Parker‘s inclusion came after an announcement that Kim Cattrall, who starred as Samantha Jones, would not be involved in the reboot.
Kim Cattrall first distanced herself from the show years ago, stating:
“I went past the finish line playing Samantha Jones because I loved Sex and the City. It was a blessing in so many ways, but after the second movie I’d had enough.”
However, her former costars–Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon–will reprise their original characters and help executively produce the series.

Now, reports have confirmed that Parker is being brought onto the series to replace Kim Cattrall. The Empire actress will play the role of Carrie Bradshaw’s best friend, a documentary maker named Lisa Todd Wexley.
In addition to Nicole Ari Parker, And Just Like That… is featuring three additional characters played by women of color. Specifically, Sara Ramirez, Karen Pittman, and Sarita Choudhury will join the series and help diversify the new friend group.
