Rapper Memphis Bleek Claims Nas Would Lose To Jay-Z In A Verzuz Battle: There’s No Comparison
Memphis Bleek is sharing his thoughts about who he thinks could take on Jay-Z in a Verzuz battle!
Recently, rapper and record executive Memphis Bleek (real name Malik Deshawn Cox) met up with sportswriter Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson for an interview. During their sit-down, Scoop B asked Memphis Bleek if he would like to see Jay-Z and Nas go head-to-head in a Verzuz battle. Memphis Bleek immediately responded and claimed:
“There’s no comparison. Nas doesn’t have enough songs to compete. And it’s no disrespect to him–he just don’t. Like, he just don’t. Jay can battle someone with just his B-sides concert catalogue and still be better than people’s A-side.”
B Scoop then asked “who is Jay’s equal then if he were to do a Verzuz?” In response, Memphis Bleek stated:
“It would have to be somebody like [The Notorious] B.I.G. That was his only competition that I ever seen–that he even felt was competition… Jay knew.”
