Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Charged With Misdemeanor Sex Crime, Allegedly ‘Forcibly’ Touched Woman Last Year
Is Andrew Cuomo facing real jail time?
Thursday (Oct. 28), former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, 63, was charged with a sex crime for allegedly ‘forcibly’ touching a woman in his Executive mansion last December.

According to the complaint, Cuomo “for no legitimate purpose, forcibly place his hand under the blouse shirt of the victim and onto her intimate body party. Specifically, the victim’s left breast for the purposes of degrading and gratifying his sexual desires.”
In a report previously prepared by Attorney General Letitia James, the Governor allegedly engaged in a pattern of inappropriate misconduct with an executive assistant and others since 2019.
The filing, which mirrors the allegations of Brittany Commisso, is one of the multiple complaints from women accusing Andrew Cuomo of sexual misconduct.
In Albany City, NY, where the filing occurred, forcibly touching is registered as a Class A misdemeanor. If convicted, the former political leader could face one year in prison and three years probation.
As previously reported, Andrew Cuomo resigned from his position as Governor in August amid the allegations. During his press conference, he said,
“New York tough means New York loving, and I love New York and I love you. And everything I have ever done has been motivated by that love. And I would never want to be unhelpful in any way. And I think that given the circumstances, the best way I can help now is if I step aside and let the government get back to governing.”
Andrew Cuomo has yet to address the complaint but has always strongly denied all allegations.
