Cameron Diaz Says She ‘Never’ Washes Her Face While Discussing Hollywood’s ‘Toxic’ Beauty Standards
It’s safe to say that Cameron Diaz is probably the last celebrity who will try and sell you their skincare routine.
Cameron Diaz, 49, is considered by many to be a bombshell superstar. Prior to her film career taking off, Cameron Diaz actually made a living as a teenage model. During a recent interview the “Charlie’s Angels” actress revealed that despite what some may think, her facial beauty routine is almost nonexistent. She said,
“I literally do nothing.”
Diaz continued and shared that washing her face is something she’s not really concerned with at the moment.
“I like never wash my face. Twice a month if I’m lucky. I’ll be like, ‘Oh, I better put this on. One time works, right?’ Like is that all I have to do? I’m just not in that place right now where it’s where I put any energy.”
She added,
“For me, I just really wanted to make my life manageable by me. My routine in a day is literally what I can manage to do by myself.”
Diaz then discussed how she once went the extra mile to keep up with popular beauty standards and said it can be hard not to “judge yourself against other markers of beauty.”
She continued,
“I am absolutely a victim to all of the societal objectifications and exploitations that women are subjected to.”
Diaz added that when she stepped away from Hollywood she made the decision to no longer subscribe to some of the “toxic” things she did while in the entertainment industry, such as sitting in front of the mirror for hours.
