Kylie Jenner: I’m Struggling With Postpartum Depression
Kylie Jenner Shares Struggle With Postpartum Depression: ‘It’s Been Hard’
Kylie Jenner is opening up about her struggle with postpartum depression.
On Feb. 2, she and Travis Scott welcomed their second child, Wolf Webster. The two are also parents to 4-year-old daughter Stormi Webster. Kylie Jenner, 24, spoke in a new video about some of the difficulties she’s faced since welcoming baby No. 2 and the impact it has had on her mental health.
“I just wanna say to my postpartum moms that postpartum has not been easy,” Kylie Jenner said in an Instagram video. “It’s not been easy.”
“It’s very hard. This experience for me personally has been a little bit harder than with my daughter. It’s not easy. Mentally, physically, spiritually, it’s just crazy. And yeah, I didn’t want to just get back to life without saying that because I think we can look on the Internet and, you know, for other moms going through it right now, we can go on the Internet, and it might look a lot easier for other people and put the pressure on us. But it hasn’t been easy for me, either.”
She was having a better day in the video, but also shared an important reminder that it’s OK to not be OK too.

“It’s been hard and I just wanted to say that. I didn’t even think I would make it to this workout today, but I’m here and I’m feeling better, so you got this. And it’s OK not to be OK. Once I realized that… I was putting some pressure on myself and I just keep reminding myself I made a whole human, a beautiful healthy boy. And we have to stop putting pressure on ourselves to be back, not even physically just mentally after birth. So yeah, just sending some love.”

Jenner joins a list of celebrities who have admitted to struggling with postpartum depression. Recently, Jeannie Mai of The Real opened up about her mom struggles after welcoming daughter Monaco Jenkins with rapper Jeezy. Jeannie Mai, 43, wrote in an Instagram post that she was specifically having trouble producing milk and admitted it led her to a “dark” place.
“Not complaining, actually here to give moms out there, breastfeeding or not, all the flowers and praise for doing your best to care for your baby-formula or boob. I have more respect for moms than ever in my life. And I have to remember me included. Hugs to every mom out there.”
