French Montana Loses Lawsuit Over Dog Bite Incident, Order To Pay Victim Nearly $130k
Not so great legal news for French Montana.
According to reports on Monday (May 16), a jury rewarded French Montana’s former pool cleaner thousands of dollars stemming from a lawsuit filed over a dog bite in 2018. A California jury ruled in favor of pool cleaner Juan Lomeli, who sued French Montana for his German Shepherd’s alleged attack on him in May 2017.
At the time, Juan Lomeli accused the Moroccan-rapper’s pet, Zane, of “viciously attacking him” while working on his pool. Due to the sustained injuries, Juan Lomeli said that he missed out on work for a period of time, resulting in a loss of possible earnings.

Looks like the jury decided to side with the plaintiff for his setbacks, granting Lomeli a total of $129,500 in damages. Reportedly, the lawsuit is divided by $39,500 in past economic loss, $60k in non-economic loss (pain/suffering etc.), and another $30k for future non-economic loss. French Montana has yet to speak on the situation.
