Erica Banks, 23, has a message for her naysayers.
Female raptress Erica Banks recently fired off a series of tweets aimed at critics who accused her of seemingly copying a theme for her latest music video. Last night (May 20), Erica Banks dropped the teaser for her music video “Throw A Lil Mo (Do It),” which samples Khia’s 2001 hit, “My Neck, My Back.”

Although not even 30 seconds long, the teaser was enough for social media to begin reacting, in which some social media users began to suspect Banks of seemingly copying Megan Thee Stallion’s “Thot S**t” music video.
Shortly after outlets revealed her new single and visual would be dropping at midnight, Banks took to Twitter to seemingly address the speculation. She tweeted:
“Y’all always try to tear me down & it just never work & apparently
y’all love a b*tch bc I’m always the
world topic when I wake up out my
sleep, literally.”
The following day, the “Buss It” rapper came with an even more blunt tweet and wrote:
“Erica Banks this & Erica Banks that. If y’all would just pull my d*ck out y’all mouth for a second y’all would probably realize that y’all be sounding crazy. Stop being messy, y’all been trynna knock me down for 2 years & I’m still relevant. Let it go, I’m here to stay stink.”
As previously reported, social media users have compared Banks to fellow Texas rapper Megan Thee Stallion before back in 2020. Currently signed to “1501 Certified Entertainment,” people have suggested that Banks’ style is similar to Megan Thee Stallion, who was formerly signed to the certified Houston record label.
