Podcaster Mal Denies Azealia Banks’ Claims That They’re Engaged: That Is My Homegirl, My People, That’s It
Azealia Banks just might be engaged… or not.
According to her alleged boo, Jamil “Mal” Clay, former co-host of The Joe Budden Podcast, despite Azealia Banks “announcement” of their supposed relationship, they’re actually not an item.
During an episode of his newest podcast show, New Rory & Mal, when asked whether he and Azealia Banks were the new power couple on the block, Mal said:
“Sorry to let you guys down, Azealia [Banks] and I are not dating. I did not propose to Azealia [Banks].”
Mal continued by assuring that he and Azealia Banks had limited interaction with each other, had never been intimate, and were nothing more than friends.
“We don’t text often. [We text] once or twice every four months, maybe. I don’t even want to be on my platform lying.”
He added:
“No, Azealia and I did not ever, ever have sex. That is my homegirl, my people, that’s it.”
If you didn’t know, Banks posted a couple of Instagram stories recently and stated that she and Mal had been “secretly dating” for the past year.
It’s unclear whether she was joking or not, but, at least, the record has been set straight by her rumored better half.
The Fantasea rapper is no stranger to making national headlines for her online commentary.
Just the other day, she accused Nicki Minaj of shutting down production on a reality TV show that she allegedly had in the works. Apparently, Nicki Minaj gave the unnamed network an ultimatum, and they chose to give Banks’ project the boot.
She posted on her social media:
“I was supposed to start filming a reality show last month. But apparently Nicki gave the network an ultimatum because she knows I’ll have much better ratings… and now they all hate her and thinks she’s ghetto, terrible to work with, overweight and boring. But I’ve got three more offers in the inbox.”
No response from Nicki Minaj as of yet.
