It looks like Serena Williams’ expected retirement is going to have to wait a little bit longer!
Serena Williams, 40, is once again proving why she’s considered to be the G.O.A.T (greatest of all time) by a lot of people around the world! Last night (Aug. 31) the decorated tennis star moved on in the U.S. Open after beating the No. 2 seed Anett Kontaveit, 26. During the exciting match, Serena Williams rocked an all-black fit seemingly decked out in sparkles and jewels.

As expected, the stadium was packed with many celebrities there to cheer Serena on, including; famed model sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid, Spike Lee, Zendaya, Tiger Woods, and more!
During her post-game interview, Serena thanked her supporters for coming to watch her play. She said,
“I’m loving this crowd. Oh my goodness. It’s really fantastic. So there’s a little left in me.”
She added,
“Maybe I should have traveled with you all for all those years!”

As previously reported, Serena announced in August that she is retiring after the U.S. Open. Her next singles match is scheduled for Friday (Sept. 2) against Ajla Tomljanovi, 29. Following her most recent win, many people took to Twitter to praise Serena for her athletic abilities.
