According to reports, Sade is working on a new album for the first time in over a decade. On Monday (Oct. 10) it was announced in a Billboard cover interview with Brad Pitt and Damien Quintard that they will be reopening Miraval Studios for use. Sade has already been set as a future resident of the room but Brad Pitt and Damien Quintard confirmed that after a year of renovations, recording is on the way. They also shared that the Nigerian-born British singer and her backing band are the space first unofficial guests.

According to a press release, the groups current project is a continuation of Sade’s, 63, last LP “Soldier of Love,” which was released back in 2010. Their most recent releases are singles “Flower of the Universe” and “The Big Unknown” released in 2018. Miraval Studios is a vineyard in the south of France, located on Château Miraval. It was founded in 1977 by jazz pianist Jacques Loussier who hosted legendary recording sessions including Sade’s two albums “Promise” and “Stronger Than Pride.” Discussing Sade’s come back, Damien Quintard shared:
“You could feel the love that she and the band had for this place.”
