A terrifying moment left fans in a frantic during Bronny James’ high school basketball game over the weekend.
According to reports, Bronny James, the eldest son of Lakers superstar LeBron James, was rushed off the court after fans in the arena feared someone had a gun.

Reportedly, Bronny James’ Sierra Canyon basketball team was playing DeMatha Catholic as part of a big showcase event in Washington D.C. on Saturday (October 29), when chaos broke out in the stands, leading some to believe that a gun had been pulled.

With less than two minutes remaining in the exhibition game and DeMatha leading 52-51, several fans in attendance reportedly got into an altercation and someone allegedly yelled “gun.” In video footage posted to Twitter, players and coaches from both teams can be seen running off once word got down to them on the court.
The Sierra Canyon vs. DeMatha game had to be cut short after a fight broke out in the stands and "gun" was yelled, which prompted both teams to run off the floor.

Reports state that upon arrival to the scene, officers said they did a “thorough search” and “did not locate a firearm.” There were also no injuries in the incident, a police spokesperson added. DeMatha head coach Mike G. Jones III told sources that the two teams did not return to the court to finish the game “out of an abundance of caution.”
Following the game, Bronny James (real name LeBron James Jr.) reportedly took to Instagram and shared a statement regarding the abrupt ending to the event. The 18-year-old athlete uploaded a post via his IG stories and wrote,
“high schoolers can’t even hoop in peace now a days.”

The two teams did not play on Sunday (October 30) following the incident.
As for Bronny, the young basketball star already has a Nike NIL deal and a contract with Beats by Dre.

As previously reported, Bronny made history by becoming the first high school signee to sign an endorsement agreement with Beats by Dre, one of the most popular headphone manufacturers in the world.
Beats by Dre aired a commercial featuring Bronny and his father, professional basketball player LeBron James, to commemorate this brand-new partnership. The two can be seen playing around in their backyard while listening to music on their respective Beats headphones.
