SZA’s First Arena Tour For ‘SOS’ Made Over $1M Per Show, Grossing Up To $35M
It’s safe to say SZA’s ‘SOS’ tour was a success!
SZA, real name Solána Imani Rowe, reportedly grossed $34.5 million on her first arena tour for her long-overdue second-studio album “SOS.” The tour – which began on Feb. 21 and ended on Mar. 23 – stopped through 16 cities in North America and two cities in Canada, making over $1.9 million per show.

Reportedly, the “SOS” tour’s approach was for fans to “pop *ss and cry and give theater.” In a past interview SZA — who reportedly had doubts of her project being successful — shared that she wanted the show to focus on catharsis through cinema and theater. She said:
“I want it to be smart and exhilarating and exhausting and exciting like a party, but also like a therapy session.”
The set list contained over 30 songs and each show began with the singers live recreation of her album’s cover art – SZA atop a diving board in the middle of the ocean.

As previously reported, “SOS” was released through Top Dawg Entertainment early Dec. 2022, five years after she released her debut album “Ctrl.” Terrence Henderson, Top Dawg Entertainment manager, gave SZA her flowers for the impact her tour had on her fans. He said last month:
“You’re actually seeing these live people, and you’re seeing them respond to you, and that energy exchange. So she’s handling [fame] a way lot better now.”
In February we reported that the R&B songstress’ became the first female artist in almost seven years to maintain the top spot for nine consecutive weeks on Billboard 200. Reportedly, SZA has intentions on making a deluxe version – with 10 additional tracks – to her sophomore album which reportedly streamed over 1.4 billion times. According to reports, the 33-year-old said:
“I’m looking forward to actually feeling proud of myself and not just smiling and nodding at accolades, but really feeling it internally and knowing that I’m good enough.”
