Megan Thee Stallion Claims Carl Crawford Is Draining 1501 Certified’s Funds So He Won’t Have To Pay Her What She’s Owed

Megan Thee Stallion Claims Carl Crawford Is Draining 1501 Certified’s Funds So He Won’t Have To Pay Her What She’s Owed
Megan Thee Stallion is still battling it out with her estranged record label!
The OG hot girl coach (real name Megan Pete) is accusing Carl Crawford, the head honcho of 1501 Certified Entertainment, of purposely draining the company’s funds.
In a motion submitted today (Apr. 13), Megan Thee Stallion said there is less than $10,000 in 1501’s primary account, despite the fact that an unspecified amount of millions has been deposited.

Megan Thee Stallion wants a judge to appoint a third party to manage 1501’s finances to stop Carl Crawford from stuffing his pockets with money in an attempt to keep her from receiving her funds.
The “Plan B” rapper said the only people receiving compensation in addition to Carl Crawford are Gee Roberson and J. Prince, who are all involved in running the label.
Megan and her label have been involved in a legal dispute for years as she sues for royalties and to be released from her contract. She reportedly submitted her most recent motion out of concern that 1501 won’t have any money to give if/when she finally wins the case.

As previously reported, despite all that’s transpired between them, Carl claims he doesn’t have any ill feelings toward his estranged artist — and he’s ready to move on from the controversial matter.
While they haven’t spoken (directly) since 2019, the ex-MLB star told a publication earlier this year that he never wanted the situation to hit the public. He expressed:
“I never wanted to have a situation where I was going back and forth with [Megan Thee Stallion] on the internet.”
Crawford continued by indicating that the virtual quarrel ruined the image of 1501, and he’s been taking the time to rebrand some things and stay out of the bad press. He added,
“[1501’s] reputation was kind of real, real bad out there so I just wanted to go directly at that situation and kind of start from fresh. You know, I have to take responsibility for anything that happens over here at 1501.”
Megan signed to 1501 in 2018. However, reportedly unbeknownst to Carl, she allegedly inked a management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation the following year — and things seemingly went downhill from there.
