Ne-Yo Accused Of Owing $3M In Back Taxes, Singer Hit w/ Tax Lien By IRS
R&B singer Ne-Yo has been hit with a federal tax lien accusing him of owing the IRS millions of dollars in unpaid taxes.
According to RadarOnline, the IRS filed a federal tax lien accusing Ne-Yo, born Shaffer Smith, of owing a total of $3,166,811.68 for 2020. On top of that, the 43-year-old singer and his ex-wife, Crystal Renay, were hit with a lien by design company Crowe Custom Countertops for property work done in Alpharetta, Georgia.

In addition, the former couple is reportedly facing a separate lien of over $4,000 owed to the City of Atlanta for taxes.
Back in January, the two officially finalized their divorce after seven years of marriage. As part of the settlement, Crystal Renay was reportedly awarded $1.6 million for real estate holdings, $150,000 for a new car, $12,000 a month in child support for their three shared children, and $5,000 monthly alimony for the next three years.
