Teyana Taylor Issues Warning Against False Information About Her Divorce From Iman Shumpert Amid Reports She’s Angry w/ Him For Making The Matter Public: ‘I Have Not Spoken On This’

Apparently, Teyana Taylor is not pleased with the world finding out the details of her pending divorce.

According to reports, the multi-talented entertainer is so angry with her estranged husband Iman Shumpert for taking the matter public, that the two have resorted to only speaking about their children.

Reportedly, sources close to Teyana Taylor, 32, claim that she and her ex Iman Shumpert, 33, are on “minimal communication,” strictly about their kids only. The “Thousand and One” actress is said to be “incredibly disappointed” and “frustrated” that the basketball star chose to forgo their privacy. As we recently reported, details of the former couple’s ongoing divorce made headlines after Shumpert reportedly used their full legal names in a court motion. It’s possible the move was an intentional attempt to undermine Taylor, who initially filed the separation document using only their initials to keep the situation private.

In the document, reportedly filed back in January, the musician accused her husband of  7 years of being jealous of her career and success and also claimed he was “emotionally and verbally abusive” as well as showed narcissistic tendencies. Reportedly, they’re said to no longer be living together, and Taylor further wrote that Shumpert hasn’t been spending significant time with their two young children, Junie and Rose, since they decided to split. Taylor is reportedly seeking temporary and permanent primary physical custody, plus joint legal custody and child support.

If you recall, Taylor suggested they were in really good standing when she first announced they were going their separate ways back in September. In a lengthy post she urged people not to judge the situation, insisting they remained “best friends” and good co-parents, though according to sources, it seems things may have shifted in recent weeks. However, Taylor recently issued a warning against any information regarding the divorce that doesn’t come from her directly, writing in a post:

“I mind my business, don’t bother nobody & y’all know I’ve never played about my children, family & our privacy. I have not spoken on this private matter to any media or blogs etc. So everyone claiming ‘Teyana said’ didn’t get any statements directly from ME. These statements were taken from private court documents that were leaked to the public.”

And adding:

“It is very heartbreaking that someone would take out the time to make such a private matter public for the world to see. However, protecting my family is one thing I’ve ALWAYS done & for my children I will continue to do so. Please if y’all love y’all play nieces Junie & Rue like y’all have shown, please allow my self & my family some privacy to resolve this matter in peace. Love y’all.”

It does not appear that either Taylor or Shumpert have spoken any further about the divorce at this time.
