Katt Williams’ latest interview is the gift that keeps on giving.

Recently the famed comedian sat down for a candid conversation with retired NFLer Shannon Sharpe for his podcast “Club Shay Shay.” During the discussion, Katt Williams doubled down on previous claims that fellow comic Cedric the Entertainer stole one of his jokes and also called out Steve Harvey for allegedly taking material from Mark Curry.

In addition, he addressed more recent entertainment news topics, such as the Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez shooting incident, and Kanye West’s controversial behavior over the years.

For those who may need a refresher, on August 8, 2023, Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Despite the evidence that ultimately led to his conviction, Tory Lanez has maintained his innocence and even alluded that Megan Thee Stallion’s former best friend, Kelsey Nicole was the shooter. However, it’s important to note that he didn’t take the stand or directly say she shot Megan during the trial.

Megan Thee Stallion has hinted a few times her ex-bestie was paid off as she has yet to outright deny Tory Lanez’s claims, and it seems that Katt Williams might agree.

While speaking on the matter, he said,

“It’s a difficult position because somebody’s not going to tell the truth and the truth has got to be told.”

He continued,

“In all circumstances, the truth has got to be told. So if you don’t want to say she shot [Megan] then you shot her, and that’s the end of that.”

Elsewhere in the interview, he was asked,

“What’s going on with Kanye? From a distance, I don’t know how well you know Kanye…but from a distance, what do you suspect is going on?”

Williams replied,

“I suspect that we’re pretty awful people if we say that somebody got a mental illness and then we watch what they do. If you say somebody got special needs then why would you be watching them and holding them accountable like everybody else? Wouldn’t you grade them on a curve?”

Katt continued, calling out people who have seemingly aided Kanye West’s actions.

“You’re the one that put him in a position where he thought he was God and could call himself Yeezy. You’re the one that told a guy that writes musical lyrics that he was a genius…what do you expect the guy married a whore.”

After clarifying that he didn’t mean the whore comment “like that,” Katt said,

“I don’t support or villainize Kanye because I don’t understand what it is that we want from him. I don’t know why we look at a basketball player and say ‘He didn’t score no hockey goals this whole season.’ He don’t play hockey…[Kanye] was the weird guy in the beginning with the pink sweater when we met him.”
