Comedian Kevin Hart isn’t joking around about his legal battle with YouTuber Tasha K.

A new court filing reportedly revealed that he’s added a new defendant to his defamation and extortion lawsuit to ensure all of the media personality’s assets are on the line.

As previously reported, 44-year-old Kevin Hart is currently suing entertainment commentator Tasha K, real name Latasha Kebe, for allegedly attempting to extort $250,000 from him. In his suit, the “Central Intelligence” star claimed that a member of Tasha’s team contacted his team and warned them they would be releasing a damaging interview about Hart starring his former assistant Miesha Shakes. A teaser of the sit-down has garnered over 151,000 views on YouTube alone.

Allegedly, Tasha’s team offered to hand the footage over to Hart for a quarter of a million dollars, prompting him to take legal action. Subsequent news of the lawsuit going public, Tasha denied all allegations of extortion and instead argued that the comedian and his team simply don’t want the world to hear Shakes‘ inside experience. Despite her denial, however, it seems Hart is taking things up a notch. According to a report from RadarOnline, the jokester recently submitted an amendment to his original filing that now includes one of Tasha’s alleged affiliate companies, Yelen Entertainment LLC, as a defendant.

Reportedly, Hart’s legal team claims the media company is owned by Tasha’s husband and that the entity is “responsible for content [Tasha] publishes.” Additionally, they argue that Yelen was only established as a “successor entity to Kebe Studios,” the media company Tasha owned, prior to her losing a lawsuit against Cardi B, and accused the internet star of using the company to avoid further “financial liability,” If you recall, Kebe Studios went into financial bankruptcy after the “Bongos” rapper was awarded a $4 million settlement from her own defamation case against Tasha.

Hart’s recent amendment reportedly claims that both Kebe Studios and Yelen Entertainment are:

“merely shell entities, and shams of one another, through which [Tasha] carried out her business in entity names, and that at all times mentioned,”

Adding:

“[Tasha] treated Kebe Studios and Yelen, and used the assets of Kebe Studios and Yelen, as her own personal property, and dominated, controlled and operated Kebe Studios and Yelen to conceal her wrongful activities, suit her personal convenience, and avoid obligations and liabilities, both monetary and non-monetary, owed to others.”

It’s reported that neither Tasha, Shakes‘, nor execs at Yellen have responded to Hart’s lawsuit at this time.
