Cardi B Asks Court Judge Not To Dismiss Tasha K’s $3 Million Debt To Her After YouTuber Files For Bankruptcy

The war between Cardi B and Tasha K continues to press onward!

According to Radar Online, the two women were back in court on separate occasions recently after the internet personality made a move to clear her debts.

Reportedly, Tasha K, real name Latasha Kebe recently filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on behalf of her business affairs. According to Investopedia, the move would allow her company, Kebe Studios LLC, to continue to conduct business but “reorganize” the debt she owes to creditors. As we reported back in April, the internet star’s company currently owes a $3 million dollar debt to rap star Cardi B, who successfully successfully sued the gossip commentator for defamation last year.

The report notes that Tasha filed the bankruptcy after paying hundreds of thousands of the debt to Cardi already. However, once the Chapter 11 was set in motion, it’s reported that the musician’s efforts to collect the remaining amount was indefinitely halted. It seems the “Money” rapper will not let the matter settle until she gets every last penny, however. Reportedly, Cardi has already filed suit as a result of the bankruptcy, asking a judge not to wipe the debt she’s owed. The report notes that a request such as this can be granted if the debt was “related to a willful and malicious injury.”

As part of their initial defamation trial, Cardi argued that Tasha continuously spread malicious lies about her across the internet that effected her marriage and mental health. Some of the accusations the Youtuber made claimed that the Grammy Award winner had an STD, used hard drugs like cocaine, debased herself with a beer bottle, and committed adultery among other things. Despite allegedly (repeatedly) being asked to retract her stories due to the falsities, Cardi argued that Tasha refused, and was therefor liable of defamation. The courts agreed.

In her recent motion not to have Tasha’s debt to her wiped clean, Cardi reportedly highlighted this point. Her legal document reportedly read:

“Defendant was given multiple opportunities to retract the false and defamatory statements and videos, but Defendant steadfastly refused to do so.”

It’s reported that a judge has yet to decide on the matter, and Tasha has not responded to Cardi’s suit publicly at this time.

Do you agree with Cardi that Tasha’s debt should not be wiped? Let us know in the comments section!
