Mary J. Blige’s Name Appearing On Lovers & Friends Festival Lineup Was An ‘Error,’ Singer Confirms She Won’t Be In Attendance: ‘I Will Be Busy In Preparation For My Strength Of A Woman Summit’
Unfortunately, Mary J. Blige won’t be among the lovers and friends in Las Vegas this year!
If you haven’t heard, the Lovers & Friends Festival recently released its official lineup for 2024, and fans were expecting to see legendary songstress Mary J. Blige on the main stage.

However, despite the flyer’s promotion of her name in big, iridescent letters, Mary J. Blige has cleared the air about the (false) advertisement.
She wrote in a statement,
“I am beyond humbled by the response from all of you about the announcement of me on Lovers & Friends Festival.”
Noting that it was a mistake, Blige continued:
“Unfortunately my inclusion was an error as I will be busy in preparation for my Strength of a Woman Summit just one week later! I have the greatest fans in the world and can’t wait to see you in New York in a few short months!”

The Lovers & Friends Festival is scheduled to take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on May 4, with Usher, Janet Jackson, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Nas, Alicia Keys, TLC, Gwen Stefani, Brandy, and Monica, among a star-studded list of others set to perform.

The controversial event originated amid the height of COVID-19 but didn’t officially kick off until 2022. It is often referred to as a joint concert for the who’s who artists of the 90s and early 2000s. The presale starts on Friday (Jan. 26) HERE.
Blige’s Strength of a Woman Festival & Summit is also a new-age staple in Black entertainment, which is a multi-day experience that offers attendees a full-blown layout of everything from the icon’s music to her mission.

This year’s summit is set to be hosted in New York City during Mother’s Day Weekend.
At this time, an updated version of the Lovers & Friends Festival flyer has yet to be made available to the public. There’s also been no word from the officiators about the mix-up.
Hopefully, 2025 will see Ms. Blige in the building.
