Both Toni Braxton, 56, and Cedric ‘The Entertainer’ Kyles, 59, took to their social media accounts to share the exciting news. The “Long As I Live” artist wrote:

A press release promoting the event shared that the show will consist of:
“timeless hits from Toni’s vast discography, amplified by her mesmerizing voice, coupled with the kind of brilliant hilarity only a legend like Cedric can provide. Throughout the show, the two icons will captivate the crowd through music, jokes and storytelling – creating the ideal feel-good evening.”

The entertainers also wrote in a joint state about connecting for the series of shows:
“Comedy and song have been at the heart of the human communal experience since the beginning of time, and we are thrilled to join on stage to bring that experience to the Cosmopolitan…We could all use a little more love and laughter in our lives.”
At this time, the residency has 7 show dates from April – July. This will be the second residency in Sin City for Braxton. The 7x Grammy Award winner performed over 270 shows at The Showroom at the Flamingo in Vegas from 2006 – 2008 as part of her concert series “Revealed.” As for Cedric, this appears to be the first time the jokester has been tapped for a residency, and the good news seems to have not come at a better time. As we’ve previously covered, Cedric’s name has mostly been shrouded in drama over the past few weeks following his colleague Katt Williams’ explosive interview. In case you’re unfamiliar, the “Friday After Next” star accused Cedric of previously ripping off one of his best jokes, among a string of other wild accusations.

Cedric responded simply stating that one person’s experience about him can’t “reduce” his stellar career. Judging by the positive response in his comments for his coming show in Vegas, that much seems to be true.
