UPDATE: Saweetie Posts Cryptic Message After Chris Brown Seemingly Claims He Slept w/ Her While She Was Dating Quavo
Update (April 22, 2024): Saweetie seems to have responded to Chris Brown’s claims. The “So Icy” rapper shared a cryptic message on X (formerly Twitter) as social media reacted to Chris Brown’s fiery lyrics in a head-turning Quavo diss.
She wrote alongside a meme of a man wearing a wig and smoking a cigarette,
“let me go rewrite these nani verses”
Saweetie first teased the song “Nani” in late March. It’s not clear if she’ll offer a more direct response to Chris’ diss in the anticipated song.

Original Story (April 21, 2024): The rap beef between Chris Brown and Quavo just turned up a notch.
Responding to the Migos rapper’s diss about him that we recently reported on, Chris Brown alleged to have had relations with Quavo’s ex Saweetie during their relationship and also made a remark about his relative Takeoff’s tragic passing.
On the diss record titled “Weakest Link”, released this past Friday (April 19th), Chris Brown rapped:
“You f**ked my ex-h*, that’s cool, I don’t give no f**k, lil n**ga/ ‘Cause I f**ked yo’ ex when you were still with her, b**ch, I’m up, lil n*gga.”

Saweetie
Though the R&B singer didn’t mention names, its being widely speculated that he was referring to Quavo’s most public relationship with his fellow rapper Saweetie. If you recall the pair dated for three years before splitting up in 2021. Brown also referenced the former couple’s infamous elevator fight in the diss, rapping the line:
“Stop talkin’ ’bout beatin’ girls, you was beatin’ b**ches on the elevator / We seen the tapes, that’s devastatin'”

Elsewhere on the diss, Brown also claimed that people wish Quavo was the one who passed in his nephew and fellow Migos member Takeoff’s place. As you may know, Takeoff was tragically shot and killed during an event in Houston over two years ago. Holding nothing back, Brown went on to rap the lyric:
“R.I.P. Takeoff, he the only real one, I got true respect/ Crazy how when he died, everybody really wished it was you instead.”

Takeoff
Quavo and Brown have reportedly had issues with one another since allegedly getting into a fight during the 2017 BET awards. Over the years their tensions have increased, and seemingly were reignited back in 2022 after reports claimed the “Bad and Boujee” rapper was dating the “Under The Influence” singer’s ex Karruche Tran.

Since Quavo took their rivalry to the booth recently, however, it seems Brown feels all bets are now off. Quavo also seemingly responded to Brown’s attack, sharing an image of his friend and colleague Young Thug staring in a way that suggests he’s unimpressed by the track.
