Heavy D’s Post-Death Tax Woes…Reportedly Late Rapper Owes Over $40k

Obviously debt follows us everywhere, even after death. Such is the case for Heavy D (real name Dwight E. Myers), who passed away this past November from a pulmonary embolism. Despite his death, the Franchise Tax Board in California has filed documents against him, claiming that he owes $43,967.87. Unfortunately, because he had this large tax lien against him in 2008 and 2009, before his passing in 2011, someone has to pay up, on his behalf. No official response from Heavy’s camp.
