Iggy Azalea Claims Ex Playboi Carti Isn’t Present In Their Son’s Life: ‘I’m Very Much The Only Parent’

It doesn’t appear Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti have worked out the strain in their co-parenting relationship.

The Australian rapper criticized her son’s father during a recent interview, claiming that she’s pretty much an only parent.

Iggy Azalea, real name Amethyst Amelia Kelly, 34, was asked how things are going between her and ex Playboi Carti, real name Jordan Terrell Carter, 28, who she shares son Onyx with when she made the remarks. She stated:

“I’m very much a single mother. I’m very much the only parent.”

She continued:

“No disrespect, but yes, I am not co-parenting really, and that’s just the reality of it. It’s one, it’s 24/7.”

The “Work” artist went on to share that despite the way Playboi Carti has allegedly approached parenting, she’s been greatly impacted by motherhood. She stated that her son has taught her the value of prioritizing family and also gushed about the child being her “biggest fan.”This isn’t the first time that Iggy has called out her former partner throughout their 4 years of co-parenting, however. If you recall, she lashed out at him back in 2022 after he praised her during an interview and alleged that he helps her pay bills. Iggy accused Carti of lying, claiming he’s actually quite disrespectful to her behind closed doors.

Iggy also criticized the “Magnolia” rapper after it was reported that he allegedly assaulted his pregnant girlfriend, and has claimed he was abusive to her as well throughout their time together. The pair reportedly met at one of Cardi’s shows back in 2018 and began dating shortly after. They welcomed their son together in 2020 before splitting in October of that year.

It does not appear Carti has addressed Iggy’s recent statements about him publicly at this time.
