PartyNextDoor Believes He’s The ‘King Of R&B’: ‘What The F*ck Are You Even Talking About?’

Looks like PartyNextDoor thinks he’s earned the #1 spot among his fellow R&B artists.

The singer/songwriter vehemently agreed after being hailed the “King of R&B” recently, making it clear that he thinks he’s secured the tile.

PartyNextDoor, real name, Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, 31, asserted himself over his fellow rhythm and blues musicians in a video he appeared in alongside culture commentator DJ Akademiks. While the podcaster was introducing him, telling viewers:

“PartyNextDoor the G.O.A.T…King of R&B”

The “Recognize” artist chimed in, stating:

“The KING of R&B, what the f**k are you even talking about”

PartyNextDoor went on to chastise his competitors, claiming they are “not making no money, not making nobody money.” He also made a pointed reference to someone who “can’t make a b**ch famous for nothing” outside of doing a “sex tape,” adding:

“I put your ex on, I put everybody on.”

While PartyNextDoor opted not to name any names, he did recently make headlines for his online confrontation with Chris Brown. As we previously covered, the two took shots at one another after Jeremih’s music video for “Wait On It” featuring Bryson Tiller and Chris Brown dropped, starring PartyNextDoor’s ex Desma Tripp in a love triangle between Brown and Tiller.

PartyNextDoor didn’t like the situation too much and declared his intentions to make all three of his colleagues “cry.” His remarks prompted a response from Brown, who told him to apologize or “keep that same energy” when the two meet in person, leading PartyNextDoor to share that it’s all love between them.

As far as his claim of R&B King goes, it seems a few commenters agreed that PartyNextDoor wears the crown. Many others, however, challenged the notion. Some mentioned other R&B greats such as Chris Brown, Usher, and Bryson Tiller, while others ridiculed PartyNextDoor for making the remark in the first place.
