50 Cent Denies Luenell’s Claims That He Didn’t Hire Any Women For His Comedy Fest: ‘We Saw Her Big A** Was Booked So We Didn’t Reach Out’
Rap star turned media mogul 50 Cent is clearing up rumors regarding a recent event he hosted.
The G-Unit founder shot down comedian Luenell’s claims that she wasn’t considered for a spot at his recent comedy fest, explaining what happened when he inquired about booking her.

50 Cent addressed the matter in a post uploaded to his Instagram page. The Power producer reposted a video of comedian Luenell criticizing him during an interview for seemingly not hiring any female comics for his recent Humor & Harmony event in Shreveport, Louisiana this past weekend. Luenell was asked about the current state of the comedy industry, which says she believes is still “misogynistic” before going on to share frustrations about her “good friend” 50 Cent.

She stated in the video:
“I want to say that the game is still so misogynistic because I just heard about this Comedy Festival that my dear friend 50 is having right now… and there were several comedians on the plane, but not one female comic. Not one,”
Luenell also emphasized the fact that both men and women attend comedy shows and pushed for better representation. She also stated that her opinion isn’t rooted in personal grievance, acknowledging that she’s wouldn’t have been able to perform if asked because she’s “booked and busy,” but offered several other women comedians who could’ve been tapped to participate, such as Takara, Zayna Johnson, nor Ivon Orji, adding that it’s “hurtful” that none of them seemed worthy to perform.
In response 50 Cent, who has worked with Luenell on the set of Power Book II: Ghost, alleged that he did actually consider booking her but quickly discovered she had a prior commitment. He wrote:
“Proof you can’t make everybody happy. Love Luenell’s work that’s why had them put her in ‘Ghost.’ We saw her big a** was booked already, so we didn’t reach out.”

He added:
“You think [we] didn’t want Monique, Sommore or Amy Schumer they on FIRE WTF.”
