Cardi B Defends Vybz Kartel Against Americans Who Criticize His Appearance Amid Prison Release & Ongoing Health Issues

Cardi B isn’t shy about defending her favorite artists.

In a recent Twitter Spaces session, Cardi B made her stance clear on the criticism surrounding Vybz Kartel’s appearance.

The rapper and outspoken critic expressed her frustration over how Americans are discussing the Jamaican dancehall star:

“I do not play about f****** Vybz Kartel.”

She continued,

“When I see y’all f****** Americans… No offense, no offense. I mean, I’m American, but when I see y’all talking about f****** Vybz Kartel, I be getting upset ’cause, like, not too much. Not too f****** much. Mind your f****** business.”

Cardi B’s comments come amid ongoing scrutiny of Vybz Kartel’s appearance, likely related to his health following his recent release from prison.

The dancehall legend, who was freed on August 1st after his 2014 murder conviction was overturned is dealing with Graves’ disease and has been active on social media, posting updates about his health and fitness regimen.

Despite the challenges of Graves’ disease, which leads to an overactive thyroid, Vybz Kartel remains optimistic about his recovery and newfound freedom, stating in a recent interview with Fox 5 NY,

“Health-wise, you know, I’m working on my health right now, but the feeling of just being free is just an amazing feeling.”
