Lil Baby Mugshot Released After Rapper Arrested For Illegal Weapon Possession

Update (Aug. 30, 2024): Lil Baby’s mugshot has been released after he was arrested for possessing an illegal weapon recently.

The mugshot comes after video footage of his arrest also surfaced online.

Lil Baby has not publicly spoken out about the arrest as of publication.

Original Story (Aug. 28, 2024): Video footage of rap star Lil Baby’s recent arrest has hit the internet.

A clip from the incident showed the 29-year-old making an expensive plea to secure a phone call before going to jail and also featured him taunting his arresting officers.

In one part of the video, Lil Baby, real name Dominique Jones, can be heard desperately yelling at a nearby security guard to abandon his post and “call this number” for a reward, initially of $20,000. Making the incentive sweeter, however, Lil Baby pressed the matter by stating:

“F**k yo job! I’ll give you [$200,000] a year I swear to God…you don’t make [$200,000] here.”

The “Drip Too Hard” rapper went on to demand that officers let him go, insisting that he had a permit for the gun they found on him. As we reported at the time, Lil Baby was arrested in Las Vegas Monday night (Aug. 26) for carrying a concealed weapon reportedly without a permit. Authorities claimed to have witnessed someone pass the musician a weapon at Encore Las Vegas. Attorneys for the entertainer shared with TMZ following his arrest,

“To be clear, Dominique Jones has a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit. On his behalf we are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding his arrest in Las Vegas.”

Unfortunately, Nevada doesn’t recognize gun permits issued in Georgia where Lil Baby resides.

Further into the recently released footage, Lil Baby became more frustrated by the situation and began heckling the officers upon realizing they had no intention of letting him go.

After someone apparently made a remark about him dropping his pants, Lil Baby warned the officers to “make sure you search me good,” adding:

“I got a gun in my n*ts, check me good.”

Lil Baby was ultimately taken in by police and booked on the felony charge at the Clark County Detention Center before being released after posting a $5,000 bail.
