The rumors date back to 2017 when the former friends were believed to have fallen out over their mutual ex, Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel.

Addressing the buzz, Naomi Campbell made it clear she’s not here for any drama, saying, “I’m not about to let the world pit two Black women against each other. We are two women with two children, mothers.”

Reportedly, a source shared that the model has no problem with the superstar singer after video footage of the two powerhouse women recently crossing paths seemed to suggest otherwise.

The rep for Naomi Campbell, 54, reportedly insisted that on her end, there are no problems between the two. As you can see in the video, the runway model certainly does look up at Rihanna, 36, with a warm smile as the “Diamonds” singer greets the person sitting next to her. It’s also alleged in the report that when Rihanna nearly slipped on her gown later in the video, Naomi Campbell was one of many nearby who reached out to offer her help.

In case you missed, video has been circulating of the former pals awkwardly coming face to face during a recent event at N.Y. Fashion Week event, re-sparking speculations that they are still quietly feuding. If you recall way back in 2017, rumors swirled that the two fell out possibly over their mutual affection for Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel. At the time, reports claimed that Rihanna began dating Hassan Jameel only a few months after he broke things off with Campbell.

While neither ever confirmed or denied those specific rumors, Campbell did tell Andy Cohen during a 2021 episode of Watch What Happens Live that “everything’s fine” when asked if she was on good terms with the Grammy award winner, despite unfollowing each other on social media and no longer posting pics together as they previously had. Campbell later told Andy Cohen “I’m an actress now Andy” before declaring that she doesn’t have an issue with Rihanna, adding:

“I don’t have beef. Especially with Black women that I think are powerful and out there, we’re all in the same thing, the same struggle.”

As far the public is concerned, it seems they’re convinced that Rihanna’s recent snub was intentional, even if Campbell says there’s no problem.
