Pharrell Williams Abruptly Cancels His “Something In The Water” Festival Hours After Tickets Go On Sale
Organizers confirmed that Pharrell’s Something in the Water music festival has been canceled for 2024.
The announcement was made in a social media post on Friday afternoon, hours after locals-only tickets went on sale in Virginia Beach.
A statement shared by Pharrell said
“Virginia doesn’t deserve better, Virginia deserves THE BEST. So SOMETHING IN THE WATER has to match that. It just isn’t ready yet. That’s why we as a team have decided we must postpone this year’s SOMETHING IN THE WATER festival that was due to take place in October.”
It’s not completely clear what part of the festival wasn’t “ready.” However, hundreds of fans stood in line for hours on Friday before the cancellation announcement was made. Ticket holders will be refunded, and a new date has been tentatively set for April 2025.
Virginia folks, were y’all looking forward to the festival?
