Channing Tatum & Jenna Dewan Finalize Divorce After 6-Year Battle
Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan officially wrapped up their divorce, six years after their split.
The former couple, who share an 11-year-old daughter, Everly, recently settled their case, avoiding a trial set for December.
The lengthy battle was fueled by disagreements over Channing Tatum’s earnings from the #MagicMike franchise. Jenna Dewan claimed they acquired the Magic Mike intellectual property together but alleged that Channing Tatum had placed the franchise’s earnings into “an irrevocable trust” and transferred licensing rights to a third party without informing her.
Channing denied the claim, stating, “I have never denied Petitioner her share of any community assets or income.” He also argued that she had “complete access to all our financial records for all activities during our marriage and since separation.”
Despite the back-and-forth, both Channing and Jenna Dewan came to an understanding, agreed to waive spousal support, and will work out any future custody disputes privately.
Channing, who is engaged to Zöe Kravitz, can now move forward, while Jenna continues her life with fiance? Steve Kazee, with whom she shares two more children.
