Rich Homie Quan’s Family Releases Posthumous Video For ‘Song Cry’ Following His Tragic Death
Rich Homie Quan’s loved ones are continuing his legacy with the release of a posthumous music video for his single “Song Cry.”
After Rich Homie Quan’s untimely passing at age 33 on Sept. 5, the rapper’s family and team unveiled the emotional video, which includes footage he filmed before his death.
The video, directed by MarCell JB, blends scenes of Rich Homie Quan partying and working in the studio with somber moments from his funeral, which was live streamed from World Changers Church International in College Park, Georgia.
Heartfelt clips of Boosie and DC Young Fly also appear, and the video concludes with Quan’s family and friends rapping his songs at a celebration following his funeral.
Quan raps in the chorus, words that hit even harder now given his tragic passing:
“I had to put on dark shades to hide these tears.”
The day of Quan’s burial, Sept. 17, is now recognized as Rich Homie Quan Memorial Day in Atlanta. His cause of death remains unclear, as further tests are still being conducted by the Fulton County medical examiner.
Continued prayers for Rich Homie Quan’s loved ones!
