Lil Durk — Last Two Alleged Co-Conspirators In Rapper’s Murder-For-Hire Case Will Be Brought To LA To Face Charges After Waiving Detention Hearings
Updates in the murder-for-hire case involving Lil Durk have surfaced.
According to Chicago Tribune reporter Jason Meisner,
“The last two alleged co-conspirators in the Lil Durk murder-for-hire case waived detention hearings this afternoon in Chicago’s federal courthouse, meaning they’ll be brought to LA by the U.S. marshals to face the charges”
As reported, last week Durk, real name is Durk Devontay Banks, was arrested in South Florida in a murder-for-hire plot. According to a federal criminal complaint filed Thursday (Oct. 24), Durk is accused of being the leader of the Chicago-based rap collective Only The Family (OTF) and placing a “monetary bounty out for an individual” he was feuding with. The drama centered around the death of Chicago rapper King Von. Allegedly, under the instructions of Durk, OTF members set out to avenge Von’s death by killing Quando Rondo.
However, their actions resulted in the August 2022 fatal shooting of Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a Robinson. If convicted, Durk and the five defendants charged in the separate indictment each face a statutory maximum sentence of life in federal prison.
