Shaboozey Reacts To Winning Zero CMA Awards, Despite His Stellar Year, & Disrespect From Fellow Nominee

Rising country artist Shaboozey is letting the shade and disappointment roll off his shoulders.

Many are still shocked that despite Shaboozey’s smash hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” being the longest-running number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 this year, he left last night’s CMA Awards empty-handed. As reported, the 29-year-old was nominated for New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year.

In addition to the CMA Awards playing in his face, Shaboozey had to deal with shade from Cody Johnson’s team. When Johnson and his producer Trent Willmon took the stage to accept the Album of the Year Award, Willmon took a shot at Shaboozey and said,

“It takes an army of people to make a great record, but I gotta tell ya, this is for this cowboy who’s been kicking Shaboozey for a lot of years, y’all.”

In a series of X posts, Shaboozey responded to the remark and addressed seemingly being snubbed.
