Katt Williams Purchases Former Alabama Military Base To Launch Movie Studio: ‘Not Fair To Put All That Pressure On Tyler Perry’
Katt Williams is making strides in his goal of becoming a movie mogul by purchasing a former military base in Alabama, with plans to transform it into a movie studio.
While Katt Williams’ publicist, Amy Sisoyev, refrained from disclosing the price or specific location of the property, she confirmed the purchase in an email to AL.com.
“I can confirm that he has purchased a former military base in Alabama,” Sisoyev stated. The property, thought to be the Cold War-era barracks at Fort McClellan in Anniston, had been listed for $1.5 million.
In a GQ interview released Wednesday, Williams opened up about his aspirations. “It’s just not fair to put all that pressure on Tyler Perry,” he said. “He can only do so much.” Williams has set his sights on following in Perry’s footsteps, building his own entertainment empire.
Wishing Katt Williams the best of luck as he embarks on this exciting new venture!
